Miroslava Andreeva - Business and Human relations: The Balance and Lessons learned

Introducing Miroslava Andreeva, our dedicated Vendor Manager at BGO Software. Despite being with us for just over a year, it feels like Mira has been a part of our team forever. Her knack for building connections, smooth communication, and quick goal achievement make her an invaluable asset. Mira describes herself as organized, broad-based, and refreshingly frank.

What’s it like to be a Vendor Manager at BGO Software?

A: As a Vendor Manager, I handle external business relations and oversee recruitment efforts. I play a pivotal role in organizing our workflow and serve as the primary contact for external teams. It’s a dynamic and complex role that combines human relations and resources, requiring agility in communication to meet our business goals. It`s dynamic and never boring.

What’s the added value of working in a software development company in the healthcare domain?

Being part of the digital health movement is fulfilling. BGO Software’s proactive approach aligns with my belief in taking action. The fact that it’s a Bulgarian company adds excitement, bringing a sense of pride as we make a significant impact in the digital health community. Each team member passionately works towards the company’s mission, delivering quality and premium client services.

BGO is an innovative company focused on the development of digital solutions to improve healthcare. Our mission is to transform the way benefit from healthcare. The digitization of healthcare processes is necessary, as technology can change the way healthcare services work, making services more accessible, efficient, and even personalized for patients. This helps improve people’s lives by providing better coordination of care, faster access to medical care, more accurate diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans.

Which company value resonates with you the most?

Definitely “Own your outcomes.” Taking responsibility for both successes and failures, I engage with tasks I can handle and stay true to my words and actions. Ownership of decisions drives me in both personal and professional aspects. I can recognize this value among other colleagues as well.

What’s the secret behind successful business relations?

Trust is crucial, but respect is equally important. Respecting the business needs of every party demonstrates valuing perspectives while protecting individual needs. Business is about the right timing, and companies benefit more by becoming partners rather than competitors, fostering collaboration to navigate unpredictable market dynamics.

What’s the toughest lesson you’ve learned in business?

The toughest lesson was learning patience. I perfected this skill as I became a parent, and then began applying it in my work. Recognizing impatience as a weakness, I’ve embraced an ongoing process of self-improvement. Until a few years ago, working in a dynamic environment, I expected fast results. By learning to cope with the endless challenges of parenthood, I learned to be more patient and was able to carry that to the work front. I learned to look into the depths of situations, which made me understand them better. In business, it`s all about the right timing. And you have to be patient about it. If a deal or negotiation doesn`t happen right away, it doesn`t mean that it won`t happen somewhere in the future. Maybe both parties are not ready for the commitment yet.

You work in a team of 3 other colleagues. How would you describe your work dynamics?

Working in a team has always been a missing piece in my professional path. Even though the 3 of us work in different areas of HR, I have the chance to exchange ideas and visions with colleagues. The freedom to speak my mind is crucial, supported by open dialogues and feedback. At BGO Software I engage cross-functionally and I can see the openness the colleagues have to open communication and two-way collaboration. Even in times of failure, it`s important to know that you will be supported. That way you can embrace failure as a part of the process, focusing on the outcomes rather than fixating on the failure itself.

Let’s talk about time. If you could add time, what would you spend it on?

Always in a race against time, I’d slow down and savor each moment, cherishing and fully acknowledging them. Creating time for ourselves and appreciating life’s positive aspects are within our control. Moments, once gone, never come back, so it’s essential to make the most of them.
