On November 12th, BGO Software was a host of a closed-door boutique event in our HQ in Sofia, Bulgaria – “Implementing new or redesigning existing software solutions in CROs, SMOs, hospitals and pharma companies – what to expect and how to be prepared“. The event was a get together for C-level executives from the clinical research and pharma industries in the country, representing the local branches of some of the top companies operating in the sector. In the closed-door meetup participated more than 30 people from the industry interested in digital healthcare and the transformation of the sector. We had five amazing speakers – experts in developing digital healthcare solutions for the pharma industry. 2 of our speakers were representatives of international companies, recognized for their leadership in the sector – AgosIT and Clinerion Turkey.
Welcome Speech by Ivan Lekushev – The Digital Healthcare Revolution
Ivan Lekushev, CEO of BGO Software, had the honor to welcome all guests to the event and share exciting facts about the digital transformation of the sector. He shared curious facts about the informational age and digital transformation. Ivan also explained the difference between digital transformation and digitization. The first step to the digital transformation, according to him, is the digitalization of all processes and routine activities inside a company. The companies, which adopt the technologies are the ones, which will survive in the digital age and will manage to grow seamlessly.
At the end of his speech, Ivan presented all the speakers and made a short intro for the case studies, which they will present.

Case Study: Patient Identification in Real Time
Barış Erdoğan, Head of Clienrion EMEA region & Country Manager of Clinerion Turkey, presented the case study “Patient Identification in Real Time”.
Clinerion accelerates clinical research and medical access to treatments for patients. They use proprietary technologies for analysis of patient data from their global network of partner hospitals. Clinerion’s Patient Network Explorer radically improves the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trial recruitment by offering data-driven protocol optimization, site feasibility evaluation, and real-time patient search and identification to match patients to treatments. Their technology solution provides real-world evidence analytics for medical access.
In his talk, Baris presented interesting information about today’s clinical trials and their management. He shared that to improve the results from a clinical trial, you need a data-driven approach. After an explanation of the typical data flow within hospitals, Baris shared knowledge on how to accelerate the speed and efficiency of clinical research projects. Case Study: The future of Patient Support Programs (PSP) in Bulgaria – obstacles & solutions
Ivan Evstatiev, CЕO, Pharmaworks, talked about the future of patient support programs. The Patient Support Solution, developed by Pharmaworks is a specific tool that manages free services, materials, and examinations for patients.
